Excel page break:Establishing page breaks

Excel page break: YOUR OBJECTIVE

When the order list is printed out, all data pertaining to a specific customer are to be displayed on one page, i.e., they are not to be separated by a page break. The easiest way to do this is by manually moving a page break to the desired position.

In this learning object “Excel page break”, you will find out how to move page breaks in Excel.

Excel page break: HOW DOES IT WORK?

To be able to manually move the page breaks for your Excel table, you must first call up the Page Break Preview. To do this, go to the View tab. Then, in the Workbook Views group click .

A dialog box will open. Close it by clicking OK.

The page breaks will be displayed as blue lines. They mark the beginning of a new page on the printout.

If you bring the mouse pointer to the blue line, the pointer will change to a small double arrow. Then, by pressing and holding the left mouse button down, you can drag the blue line – that is, the page break – to a position of your choice.

You can also get to the Page Break Preview directly by clicking once on the Page Break Previewbutton toward the right side of the status line at the bottom of the Excel window.
